Peach Candy, Bred by Ralph S. Moore, 1995.

Breeding: 'Sheri Anne' X 'Topaz Jewel'.

At this time, 'Peach Candy' is the first and only hybrid to be created from the lovely yellow Rugosa 'Topaz Jewel'. ('Topaz Jewel' is 1/2 Rugosa, from a cross of 'Golden Angel' X 'Belle Poitvine') Because of its Rugosa ancestry, 'Topaz Jewel' is only marginally fertile as a parent, and only as a pollen parent at that.

'Peach Candy' is a typical Moore Miniature, in that it displays excellent vigorous growth, and is compact and self shaping. The beautifully formed peach colored blooms are about 1.5 inches across, with 25 petals to a bloom. This 12 to 16 inch mini flowers in small clusters, but as with most Miniatures, it has almost no fragrance. Still, if you can get a plant of this one, you will not be disappointed.
