Jacquie Williams, Bred by Ralph Moore, California 1997.

'Jacquie Williams'Jacquie Williams is one of the new Miniature roses from Sequoia Nursery, bred by Ralph Moore. It was introduced in 1998. It is new for me, and so I have not yet had a chance to fully evaluate it's merits. This is a cross of (Yellow Jewel X Tamango) X Strawberry Ice.

Its blooms are fairly large for a miniature rose, about 1.75 inches to 2 inches across when fully open. As you can see here, they are a beautiful bicolor red and white that is something like a tiny 'Double Delight'.

Now that I have grown it for 2 years, I can say that this rose has charmed me quite a bit. I don't usually like bicolored roses, but this one really is sweet. Blooms are produced singly on strong stems, and they open slowly and hold their color very well. Sequoia Nursery says that it is like an improved 'Magic Carrousel'.
