Jessica Rose, Bred by Ralph Moore, Visalia CA. 2003

Breeding: ('Little Darling' X 'Lemon Delight') X 'Red Fairy'.

From the description in the 2003 Sequoia catalog: "A new rose named for a new baby. This pink can only be described as baby pink. When you see these delicate double pink flowers which grow in small clusters it will be love at first sight. The compact, bushy plant will amaze you at how well it grows and blooms. 1.5 inch blooms on an 12 to 18 inch plant."

I have seen this rose in bloom at Sequoia Nursery in the Fall of 2002, and it was exquisite. As you can see, the bloom form is perfection, and I suspect that half open buds have exhibition potential. One virtue of this rose is its ability to produce masses of bloom on an easy-to- grow plant. I hope this rose really catches on because it gave me a strong impression of being an exceptionally performer.
