Albas |
Secret Recipe, Bred by Ralph Moore, California, 1994.
This is a fairly vigorous rose, sending up lots of new growth from the base every year to become a 2 foot shrub. The foliage is a bit sparse, and prone to blackspot, but otherwise it is a fine little rose. There is no fragrance from the bloom itself, but the mossing has the typical balsam-like scent when touched. Sadly
this wonderful little rose is in danger of disappearing from the market.
I hope it will always have a place in my collection. It's truly a charming
little thing....if you find a plant, get it! You won't be disappointed. ARS
