June Laver, bred by Keith Laver, Canada 1987.

June Laver
Keith Laver has an extensive career in breeding miniatures since about 1982 which includes the Potluck series, and the Springwood series.

This is a beautiful little deep golden-yellow rose! The blooms are of the finest form, and a rich, deep golden yellow hue, with a hint of apricot. I have found that the blooms will occasionally offer a very nice fragrance when newly opened as well. 'June Laver' is well known as an exhibitors rose, as it makes a fine cut flower of the highest quality. The only drawback is that the blooms have short stems. As a garden shrub, this doesn't matter, but for exhibitors it makes it difficult to get long stems for cutting. I have heard that it will produce a longer stem if placed in a semi-shady location, making it reach a bit for light.June Laver

I acquired 'June Laver' for use in my breeding work, and it is well known to be a good seed and pollen parent.
