Muriel Humenick , bred by Ralph Moore, USA 2002.

'Muriel Humenick'
Breeding: 'Golden Angel' X 'Honorine de Brabant'.

This is a shrub rose from Sequoia Nursery, introduced in 2002. It resulted from a most unusual combination of a bright yellow Miniature rose, and the old striped Bourbon rose, 'Honorine de Brabant'!

This is a repeat blooming shrub with a very OGR growth and bloom habit. In fact, in many ways the blooms resemble some of the old yellow Tea roses, complete with that same fruity, phenolic fragrance. This is sure to become one of my favorite new shrub roses, especially for its old stle blooms. All I can say is WOW!...what a beauty!

ARS merit rating: NA
Personal merit rating: 8.5
Hardiness: Likely USDA zones 6 to 9, zone 5 in a protected location.
Shrub size: 4 to 7 feet tall, and somewhat wider depending on climate.
Fragrance: 4.5 A good Tea fragrance.
