'Vesper'
This is one of the so-called "brown" roses described in Kim Rupert's article entitled "Coffee Roses". While the term "brown" barely applies to this wonderful Floribunda, it is indeed an odd hue that is atypical. In many ways it has the same sort of soft pigments found in some of the true Teas, with it's soft coral and muted peachy tones, occasionally showing soft parchment colors. No matter how you describe this rose, it is a beautiful color that holds extremely well in the heat. Why this has become so obscure is beyond me; this is a very fine short Floribunda that is well worth space in the garden. Highly recommended.
