Julia's Rose, bred by Wisbech Plant Co., England, 1976.

'Julia's Rose' is one of the few tan/caramel colored roses on the market. I have developed a fondness for this hue in the past year or so, and have recently acquired this one. (See also 'Tantarra', 'Victoriana', and 'Cafe Ole', a few of the other "brown Roses")

I understand that 'Julia's Rose' is a bit finicky, and slow to become established, and requires the best of cultural attentions always. Apparently some people grow it in a large pot so they can control drainage and soil fertility better. It is likely to need protection from Blackspot if grown in a disease prone region, so be aware that you may need to spray.

I can't offer much commentary at this stage, as I have only had my plant a year, and have not seen it perform to its abilities yet. I will give you more information later on this year.
