Precious
Dream,
bred by Ralph Moore, California, 2002.
From
the Sequoia Nursery catalog for 2002: This new very double 2-1/2" rose
is a delightful soft pink flower of old fashioned form. Bushy, rounded
plant (2-3 feet) with mid-green, semi- glossy foliage. 3 inch blooms
on a 2.5 foot tall shrub. This rose is one of the new Hybrid Bracteatas
resulting from decades of work with the species, R. bracteata.
This
is a breakthrough in R. bracteata breeding that Ralph Moore has
been working towards for many years. 'Precious Dream' is a Floribunda
type plant of about 2.5 feet tall, with blooms produced singly and in
small clusters. It has a pleasant fruity scent as well. The bloom form
of this rose is a perfect arrangement of swirled petals that open flat
in a very attractive manner.
'Precious
Dream' is available from The
Uncommon Rose.
