Albas |
'Red Trail', bred by ? (possibly Interplant), 1991.
I have seen mature plants of this cultivar that are spectacular, and I can see it having immense value as a landscape shrub to cover large areas. Perhaps it would have a use for municipal plantings and parks as it seems to be quite disease resistant and care free. It doesn't repeat very quickly, but when it does bloom, it is a showstopper. Spet blooms drop cleanly without haveing to be removed manually. Sadly, there is no fragrance to the blooms. Original photographs and site content © Paul Barden 1996-2006 |
