Unnamed seedling, Paul Barden, 2000.
The blooms are average in size for a Gallica: 3" diameter, and nearly perfectly formed, fully double with a bit of a button eye. There is a moderate sharp Gallica fragrance. The shrub has only moderate vigor so far, but I'm hoping it will pick up speed this coming season. I think this is as nice as any of the named Gallicas I grow, and look forward to watching the plant develop. ARS

If
you ever decide to grow your own roses from open pollinated seeds you
collect from your garden, don't let anyone tell you that this in an
unworthy pursuit. This seedling came from a batch of self (or open)
pollinated seeds I sowed in 1999, given to me by a Colorado Rosarian.
