Seedling. Bred by Paul Barden, 2002.

Breeding:
'Marbrée' X 'The Prince'. This is one of my own seedlings, blooming for the first time in 2002. The true virtue of this seedling is yet to be established, as this is its first bloom attempt, and much needs to be determined before it can be judged worthy.

As you can see, the blooms are a rich crimson and fully double in the OGR style. There is some fragrance, but I find it to be moderate compared to its parents. Each bloom is just about 4.5 inches across, which is quite good for a first bloom seedling. It will be planted out in my test beds for further evaluation. I like the look of this bloom a lot, don't you?

ARS merit rating: N.A.
Personal merit rating: undecided
Hardiness: unknown.
Shrub size: unknown.
Fragrance: 3.0 Fairly intense Damask fragrance.
