Marie Louise. Breeder unknown, circa 1811.

One of the most exquisite Damasks, second only to 'La Ville de Bruxelles' for perfection of form and fragrance, in my opinion. A smaller shrub than 'Bruxelles', it grows to 4 feet at most. It can become a bit floppy with age and may benefit from support. Otherwise, this is a first rate OGR and well worth growing. You'll love the fragrance!

This is a Once blooming Damask.

ARS merit rating: 8.5.
Personal merit rating: 8.5
Hardiness: USDA zones 5 to 8, possibly zone 4 in a protected location.
Shrub size: 3 to 4 feet tall X 3 feet wide.
Fragrance: 4.0, intense Damask fragrance.
