Paintbrush, bred by Ralph Moore, California, 1975.

Breeding: 'Fairy Moss' X 'Goldmoss'.

For some reason this Miniature Moss rose has not enjoyed the same commercial sucess as its sibling, 'Lemon Delight'. It's a shame because although the color of 'Paintbrush' is not as clear and intense as 'Lemon Delight', I like the plant better, and the mossing is outstanding! The foliage is dark green and the plant is vigorous, well-branched and upright. As you can see from the photo, the color of the bloom is a light yellow, starting out as an apricot bud and finishing as a creamy white.

'Paintbrush' is still available from Sequoia Nursery in California.
