Nigrette,
bred by Krause, introduced by Conard-Pyle, 1934.
Breeding: 'Château de Clos Vougeot' x 'Lord Castlereagh' Considered by Gregg Lowery to be one of the best of the small-statured "black" Hybrid Teas, 'Nigrette' indeed has some fine qualities. Rich fragrance, exquisite velvety-black-red coloring and compact growth habit. It makes a perfect container rose, in fact, because of its size. This is a must for any collector of the "black" red Hybrid Teas. ARS
