Forestier, Introduced by Trouillard,
France 1842.
The small buds are produced singly and in small clusters, and are light yellow with a peach-pink tint as they open. Fully open blooms are 3.5 to 4.5 inches across, open flat and often display a button eye. The fragrance is outstanding.....very much a soft, phenolic Tea rose scent, not unlike 'Lady Hillingdon'. The color of the blooms can be as you see below, or somtetimes a paler, more translucent light primrose yellow, as in the photo above. The shrub itself
is vigorous without being unwieldy, and the medium green foliage is
quite disease free. Expect it to acheive a maximum height of 10 feet
in a warm location, and 8 or less in cooler areas. This is also an excellent
greehouse rose if you have that option. This rose was the recipient of the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit in 1993. ARS merit

'Céline
Forestier' is a beautiful rose that is well worth growing if you
are lucky enough to live within the right climate range. Like most
of the Noisettes of this color, it is sensitive to intense cold, and
is best grown in a very sheltered location in anything less than zone
