Perle d'Or, Dubreuil, France 1884 (R. multiflora seedling X 'Mme Falcot')
Blooms are produced all season long in clusters of 2 or 3, to as many as 7 or 8, and to my nose they are very well scented....an almost fruity fragrance. The blooms open a strong orange-buff color and fade over a few days to a softer peachy-pink shade, both of which are nice colors. The plant itself is upright, but well branched with dense twiggy growth, making a very full looking shrub. Foliage is glossy and pointed, and quite disease free..at least it is for me. The bonus with this rose is its near thornless canes! This is a very attractive shrub, and not likely to grow too large for a small garden. ARS

This
is a very lovely China hybrid that is new to my collection this year.
This can almoct be thought of a a peach colored Cecile Brunner, as they
are remarkably similar shrubs, except in their coloring.
