'Little Mermaid', a chance sport of 'Mermaid'

'Little Mermaid': Wimer/Moore, 1995. A root sport of 'Mermaid', very similar to 'Happenstance', except that it reportedly blooms more readily. Ralph Moore tells me that 'Little Mermaid' originated as a root sport after Blanche Wimer's plant of 'Mermaid' was destroyed by fire. He also says: "I find it easier to root and to grow than 'Happenstance', and more tolerant of alkaline soils. The flowers are smaller and produced on a better plant than 'Happenstance'."

This is a truly charming plant that makes an ideal small (Miniature) climber.
