Souvenir de President Lincoln, introduced by Moreau-Robert in 1865.

'Souvenir de President Lincoln''Souvenir de President Lincoln' is one of the more obscure Bourbons, which has only recently been reintroduced by Heirloom Roses into the American market. I have not had this rose for long, and so I will reserve any comments on its performance till a later date.

However, I can tell you that if you live where Blackspot os a problem for your roses, that this rose will suffer badly as well. Most of the Bourbons are notoriously bad for foliar diseases, and you have to find out by trial and error whether they will be suitable for your area.

As you can see, this rose has fully double quartered blooms of fine shape and color, and there is a very good perfume to accompany it as well. I hope it proves to be satisfactory in my garden!
