This is a lovely species, known for its incredible vigor and beautiful foliage. The fragrance of the bloom is often compared to the smell of Acetone, an assessment I agree with. R. bracteata is a large, climbing species from warm parts of China and has naturalized in the southern United states. It is not reliably Winter hardy in cold climates.
