Buff Beauty, bred by Anne Bentall, UK 1939.
Bloom is prolific..... almost constant throughout the season, with a particularly fine display in the late fall. The color of the 2.5 to 3 inch flowers varies from a rich apricot, to a buff-honey color, or anything in the peachy-yellow range. The color depends on weather, time of year, and soil conditions. No matter what, the color is always agreeable. The fragrance is a mix of the phenolic Tea rose scent and fruit. The shrub is often wider than it is tall, growing to about 5 feet in height and speading laterally. Disease resistance is excellent, although it is not likely reliably hardy in zones colder than 6b or 7. ARS
