Announcing a New Retail Agent for Barden Roses

After careful consideration I have chosen a new agent to distribute my own hybrids. Beginning this Fall, Rogue Valley Roses in southern Oregon will be the exclusive retail nursery for most of my roses. Here is the RVR Fall Newsletter from their web site: (reproduced with permission, photos copyright Paul Barden)

The Paul Barden and Uncommon Roses Collections
(At left: 'Jeri Jennings')
Rogue Valley Roses is extremely fortunate to have been chosen as the new venue for the complete work of the outstanding Northwest hybridizer, Paul Barden. Many of Paul's roses are available currently in band sized pots for $15. Some of the varieties that are more difficult to propagate are priced at $18. Our next newsletter will feature several of Paul's new introductions for 2008 as well as several of his other superb roses such as “Golden Buddha” and “Song of the Stars”. Learn more about Paul Barden and his roses on his website at: "www.rdrop.com/~Paul/" and remember that we have limited supplies of these wonderful roses.

The Paul Barden roses that are ready to ship are:

Allegra, Crested Damask, Dolly’s Forever Rose, Dragon’s Blood, Ellen Tofflemire, Fara Shimbo, Jeri Jennings, Marianne, Mel Hulse, October Moon, Oshun, and Unconditional Love

We will continue to add to our website availability list throughout the summer and fall many other new, previously unlisted varieties, as well as formerly out of stock roses, as they are potted up and grown on from our greenhouses. So keep checking back. Our September newsletter will contain our Fall List.

Our Five Gallons
Our customers tell us that they have planted our five gallon plants safely in the fall as far north as Zone 6. Fall planted roses require proper watering during any winter dry spells, and some winter protection in the north until they are established. Many of our fives are climbers and tall shrubs. Our shipping staff is particularly skillful in spiraling long canes into the box. This means that often these roses can be used immediately to stage an event or occupy a prominent place in the garden. For a limited time you can select a free five gallon rose for every 4 five gallon roses that you buy.

Enjoy discounts on our newest roses and all our roses, including free band and free 5 gallon offers and take advantage of our old prices on most of our roses through September. Choose immediate shipping by USPS Priority Mail or delay shipping until a date you select through June ’08.

Late Summer Specials
Select a free band rose for every 8 roses that you buy or select a free 5 gallon rose for every 10 gallons or 12 bands that you buy. You may also select a free five gallon rose for every 4 five gallon roses that you buy. Our well grown fives will help you achieve impact for a special event or immediately bring a special effect to your garden.

If you are a member of the American Rose Society, the Heritage Rose Foundation, or a Heritage Rose Group, you may choose to receive a 10% membership discount on roses that you order in any quantity when you provide us with your membership number and expiration date. This discount does not go with any other specials that we offer.
